Thunders snap San Antonio's winning run, Mavs beat Clippers

The San Antonio Spurs′ 19–game winning streak came to an end against Western Conference rivals the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.

San Antonio were aiming to become just the sixth team in NBA history to win 20 consecutive games but the Thunder did not read the script‚ winning 106–94 at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The Spurs (59–17) remain best in the West‚ ahead of the Thunder (55–19)‚ who have now won three on the trot.

San Antonio′s Australian import Patty Mills led the team with 21 points off the bench. Veteran Tim Duncan finished with 17 points and eight rebounds.
In Thursday′s other contest‚ the Dallas Mavericks withstood a late rally from the Los Angeles Clippers to triumph 113–107.
The ever–reliable Dirk Nowitzki had 26 points and 11 rebounds as the Mavericks beat the Clippers for the first time this season.
Jose Calderon (19 points) and veteran Vince Carter (16 points) made solid contributions for Dallas‚ while Samuel Dalembert and Monta Ellis added 12 points apiece.
